To my anonymous commenter yesterday who warned me about workout #21 - Yep, you were right. If I never do another jump squat in my life, I would probably die a happy man. Take a look at last night's workout chart:

They're a little bit hard to see, but the tiny little icons across the bottom of the chart represent the different exercises. The little jump squat guy shows up on the chart FIVE TIMES. The first set was just 15. Okay, that's fine. But then the very next exercise was a set of 20! So basically 35 jump squats in a row with about 15 seconds in the middle for "recovery." I think the heart rate graph shows the full story there.
In general, yesterday's workout pushed the number of reps on most of the exercises. Foot fires were 45 seconds instead of 30, side plank position definitely felt like a longer amount of time, hammer curls were sets of 20. I actually don't think yesterday was the toughest time I had during a workout, but the jump squats were really getting on my nerves. When the fourth set came up, I was really dreading it, and by the fifth set I was shouting at virtual Aaron Rodgers in disbelief.
I have an off day today and I'm surprisingly not sore. I think because I worked out last night, the soreness hasn't really set in yet. It may not be until tonight or tomorrow morning that I feel the consequences of the 95 squat jumps. Friday and Saturday are going to be back to back days. I'm morbidly curious to see how much the intensity continues to ramp up.
